Chart your course: Sessions 1-4

Chart your course: Sessions 1-4

We start by getting to know you better. Who is in your life? What are the stories that have defined you until now? Next, we become possibility detectives, literally drawing a map to a different future—one with more of what you want and need. Maybe it’s a trip to Europe. Or starting your own business. Or balancing caring for aging parents and yourself. Or writing your novel. Then it’s on to creating your personalized self-care plan: a list of go-to strategies you can use and add to as you practice showing yourself some love. By the end of session 4, you’re clear about what your best midlife looks like and, with your self-care plan in hand, you’re already starting to feel better.

Just for you:

Two personalized coaching supports (a brief yoga video and audio of a guided centering exercise) for you to use as you practice developing inner peace and calm, plus email support and 15-minute check-in calls in between sessions.

First steps on the path: Sessions 5-8

Now the real fun begins. With your map as a guide and your self-care plan for support, you’re making exciting progress towards your goals, whether that’s putting a small trip in the calendar, registering for a course, starting a memory book with your parents or writing every day. You’re recognizing your gremlins and calling on new, helpful ways of thinking and acting, and the a-ha moments are coming fast. I’m with you every step of the way, helping you stick to your plan, celebrate your wins and call on your circle of support. By session 8, you’re feeling stronger, more confident and clearer about what brings you joy and what to say “yes” to.

Just for you:

A made-for-you 45-minute yoga sequence; a private in-person or virtual yoga class; and a body work session from Wellness on the Silverbirch (Substitute any of these for additional coaching if you prefer.) Email support and 15-minute phone check-ins continue.

You’ve arrived!: Sessions 9-12

These new, helpful habits have really started to stick. You’re seeing challenges with fresh eyes, becoming a skillful problem solver and know that self-care is more than a bubble bath—in fact you’re telling me what you’ve done to take care of yourself before I ask! Now it’s time to show your closet some love, so you feel as magnificent on the outside as you do on the inside and can start each day in calm, not chaos. As our work together draws to a close, we’ll celebrate how far you’ve come—this healthy adult who knows how to look after her own needs—and identify clear steps to maintain your momentum. By the end of session 12 you’ll be saying, “I feel good about myself.” (And I can’t wait to hear it!)
